These terms govern your use of automotivedatagroup.com and the free tools published on it. They do not govern paid engagements, which are covered by a separate written agreement.

1. Who we are
The site is operated by Automotive Data Group LLC, a limited liability company formed under the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, on 29 December 2025 (Wyoming filing ID 2025-001852807), with its principal office at 1021 E Lincolnway, Suite 9615, Cheyenne, WY 82001, United States. “We” and “us” mean that company; “you” means the person using the site.
Our Certificate of Organization is published on our company page, and the filing can be verified through the Wyoming Secretary of State.
2. Use of the site
You may use the site and its free tools for lawful purposes. You may not:
- interfere with the operation of the site, or attempt to circumvent rate limiting, authentication or other technical controls;
- extract data at scale by automated means, including scraping our tools as an unlicensed substitute for a data feed;
- resell, redistribute or present output from our free tools as your own commercial product;
- use the site to infringe anyone’s rights or to break any applicable law.
We may withdraw access from anyone who does these things, without notice.
3. The free tools, and their limits
Our VIN decoder returns data derived from public United States federal sources. It describes a vehicle as manufactured.
It does not establish, and must not be relied upon for:
- title status, including salvage, flood, rebuilt or other branding;
- accident or damage history;
- odometer accuracy;
- ownership, liens or theft records;
- the vehicle’s present condition or specification after modification.
Source databases are populated from third-party submissions and are incomplete. An absent field means the source holds no value for it. Do not make a purchase, valuation, import or customs decision on the basis of these tools alone.
For United States title history, consult a provider approved under the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System.
4. No warranty
The site and its free tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or its free tools. Our total aggregate liability arising from the site is limited to one hundred United States dollars (USD 100).
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Intellectual property
The site’s design, text, code and original analysis are owned by Automotive Data Group LLC. Underlying public datasets remain the property of their sources and are used under their respective terms. You may quote or cite our published analysis with attribution and a link.
7. Third-party links
Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.
8. Changes
We may revise these terms. The revised version takes effect when posted, and the date above will be updated. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
