This started on the operating side, not the analyst side
Most companies selling data to this industry have never shipped a car. Most companies shipping cars have never built a data pipeline. The gap between those two facts is the entire reason we exist.
The trade came first
Our team spent years inside a vehicle export operation serving wholesale buyers in Ukraine — sourcing at US auctions, moving vehicles through the ports, and handling everything that goes wrong between the two.
Marketing was the discipline
Our founder ran acquisition for that operation at a point when it was moving roughly five hundred vehicles a month. Demand generation for this industry is not a theory here; it is where the company comes from.
The data problem never went away
Every operational failure traced back to the same thing: nobody had a clean, shared, VIN-keyed picture of the vehicle. Automotive Data Group exists to build that picture.
How we operate
Four commitments
Every figure we publish or deliver carries its provenance. If we inferred something rather than confirmed it, we say so on the field itself.
Licensed data stays inside the engagement it was licensed for. We are not a data broker and we have no interest in becoming one.
On demand-generation engagements we do not take competing clients in the same market. We will tell you at the first call if that rules you out.
We are small and we intend to stay competent rather than large. If a piece of work is outside what we do well, we will say so and point you somewhere better.
