Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 August 2026
Automotive Data Group LLC (“ADG”, “we”, “us”) operates automotivedatagroup.com. This policy explains what we collect from visitors to this site, why, and what rights you have. It is deliberately short, because we collect very little.
This policy is a starting draft prepared for review. Have it checked by a qualified attorney before publication, particularly if you accept enquiries from the European Union or the United Kingdom.
1. Who is responsible
Automotive Data Group LLC A Wyoming limited liability company (filing ID 2025-001852807) 1021 E Lincolnway, Suite 9615 Cheyenne, WY 82001, United States privacy@automotivedatagroup.com
2. What we collect
Information you send us. If you complete the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, any company name you provide, and the content of your message.
Technical information. Our hosting provider processes standard request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — to serve the site, apply rate limits and mitigate abuse.
Analytics. If website analytics are enabled, they are configured to collect aggregate usage information only. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
VIN lookups. VINs entered into our decoder are passed through to the source database and the result returned to your browser. We do not log them and we do not link them to you.
3. Why we process it
| Purpose | Basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry | Performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering business correspondence |
| Keeping the site available and secure | Our legitimate interest in operating the service |
| Understanding aggregate site usage | Our legitimate interest in improving the site |
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
4. Who we share it with
Only service providers necessary to run the site, each bound by contract:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, content delivery, and bot mitigation.
- Resend — delivery of contact form submissions to our mailbox.
We disclose information to authorities only where legally compelled.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is retained for as long as a commercial relationship or its record requires, and then deleted. Server logs are retained per our provider’s standard retention period. Deletion requests are honoured.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Write to privacy@automotivedatagroup.com and we will respond within thirty days.
7. International transfers
We are established in the United States and process enquiries there. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
8. Children
This site is a business-to-business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen.
9. Changes
We will post any revision to this page and update the date above.
